We need a regular reflective practice for our mental
and emotional well-being. A few minutes of quiet time, away from all external
disturbances like social media or electronic gadgets, when we can connect with
our inner being.
We generally have over 60,000-80,000 thoughts in a day. Moments of solitude
allow us to slow down this pace of mental activity. As we learn to observe our
recurring thought patterns, we also begin to see the futility of many of our
thoughts that usually preoccupy us.
Building our reflective capacity strengthens our emotional equilibrium. We are
then less easily affected by the daily ups and downs of life. We also become
more thoughtful and less reactive in our responses.
What is self-reflection? Why we need it?
Self-reflection is a Self-meditation
or reflect on own thoughts, beliefs and assumptions.
Self-reflection is better understanding oneself. When
you spare some time out of your daily busy schedule for solitude then you can
reflect better about the life. Seating completely in silence and reflect on values, belief and assumptions I have endorsed.
Self-realization is awareness about oneself .Knowing
yourself better way so that you can utilize all your potential in constructive
ways. Try to understand your own nature and compare it with the moral values. Are
you feeling loved, happy and joyful? What holding you back from happiness and
peace?
Self-reflection will help you to understand difference
between delusional life which everyone is running behind and the ultimate truth
of life. After reflection you understand and overcome the real causes of
suffering and pain in your life.
Everything start and ends with oneself .No one can
help you rather than you yourself. Even external positivity will not impact you
unless and until you make necessary changes within yourself.
You have to change yourself if you want to change
your life. We don’t have control over outer world but we do have power to
change our inner world. Self-reflection will help you to introspect yourself
and make necessary changes in your attitude and perspectives.
No one have power to hurt you but your own thoughts
make you feel bad or good, When someone abuse you then that abusive words
directly don’t hurt you ,but when you bring thoughts and emotions to that words
then you will start feeling bad or you get hurt.
We always blame others for not meeting with
expectations but we really need Self-reflection to realize what’s going on wrong?
Once you start reflecting then you will realize that I have to change my behavior
or assumptions.
You have to detach yourself from emotions and feelings which have conditioned by your mind. New outlook needs to bring in your life to make changes in life.

Such questions make us more self-aware; making progress thereby results in a higher sense of well-being and people who reflect regularly become more self-aware and experience greater happiness.

What is the purpose of my life ?
How can I contribute to the expansion of universe?
What thoughts and feelings do I have in these
situations?
What’s holding me back here?
What beliefs
of mine are making me be so hard on myself?
What kind of

Techniques for self-reflections
When you spend some time along in silence then you can focus more on the reflection.
Solitude and peaceful surrounding boosts the importance of Self-reflection. Take
out daily morning time for Self-reflection so that entire day will be more
peaceful. You will tackle all the problem coming day long with more positive
perspective.

We feel that there are no more opportunities available .We blame everyone for snatching your opportunity but in real sense abundance is always flowing you are not accepting it. Fixed Mindset which is not allowing you to leave your comfort zones.

When you understand
life in a real sense then you will start appreciating the life. What others are
telling doesn’t matter to you if you are clear on your understanding. If you
are not mature enough then you will start fighting with everyone for small
reasons.
When you reflect on self then you will change your response to every situation. Instead of getting angry you will try to understand the perspective of person talking to you. Empathy and compassion will make your life more beautiful. Love yourself as well as love others.
Redefine your Mindset and Assumptions
We have opinion about everything in this world .Our
mind is expert in judging others or labeling others. We have created life with
so many preoccupied assumptions. Once you start Self-reflection then you will
see change in the assumptions.
You will have better understanding about the every
aspect of life. Awareness is the key for change. If you are not aware of what
needs to be changed then you will never be able to change it. Your mis-conceptions about others will be replaced by the thoughts of understanding, support and
love.
Final Thoughts
When you feel in life that you are having so many
problems that you can’t handle it anymore .It is the time for you to start your
journey of Self-reflection. Try to understand yourself better.
No one can solve the
problems which are occurring due to your inner misunderstandings. Look within
yourself to get answer to all your life problems. Self-reflection is the key to
open the possibilities of solving problem by introspection.
