Getting fired or leaving job could be the life changing events. Most of us  wouldn't be even think of life without job. But sometimes its inevitable that we have to face job loss. Particularly now a days with changing scenarios of work, automation's or precarious situations of demand changes in global market.

When you have family and more responsibility and have to pay bills then you will be more overwhelmed. Current globalization have made job more relevant of the locations .You can support by seating anywhere on the earth. Dependability of person is plummeting due to de-skilling or multi-skilling of tasks. More works are being allocated to single individual  and there is devaluation of specialized jobs.  

Like other problems in life, consider this as a one situation which you have to get over it. Having single source of income makes it difficult to get through such tough times. To deal with such situations generally have some planning well in advance or after the experience.

Financial planning for at least 6 months of daily and monthly expenses could save you during such times. Have as minimum as possible liabilities in life. Those having  mortgage and car loans will find it difficult to manage finances in such times. 

8 ways to deal with job loss or getting fired 

1) Don't feel guilty 


Do not have any guilt for getting fired, you have not committed any crime. Look at this as a  life situation which you need to deal with right course of actions. Accept the consequences of what ever you have to face after this job loss. Have attitude of problem solving.

Losing hope and courage to tackle situation will make your situation more hostile and vulnerable. Instead of guilt make this as a life changing event. Try to understand deeper intentions of life for giving this situation in your life, it might want you to change your path of life.

2) Seek opportunity in adversity 


Remember that there is always opportunity in any adversity. You need to have right perspective towards life situations. Take current job loss as a opportunity to try out something different career option or explore more option for income generations.

Use this time for self reflection. Try to understand what went wrong?, what you can learn from this experience?, how you can improve on yourself ?. Most of the time we make mistakes unintentionally but they eventually convert into bad habits. You need to study in detail why they fired you?

This time you can invest for self improvements. There are plenty of opportunities in this universe to explore. Self evaluation gives you more insights on your strengths & weakness. Focus on building new skill sets. Invest quality time to work on honing your strengths.

4) Pursue your passion or dream


Sometimes such incidents can open a new doorway of opportunities. You would have never taken risk to leave job for our passion, consider this as an opportunity to take bold step towards your dream. Making dream come true is a adventure. You will never regret the decision to pursue career in the area of your interest.

Evaluate all possibilities how you can make your passion as your profession. There is always way to make it happen, we just need directed efforts & optimistic mindset. Be prepared to face failures and many rejections before you achieve great success, they are stepping stones for your life progress.

5) Consider work break for family or vacations

Consider this as work break for your family or for your long pending list of vacations. You got to make wise use of this time. We have postponed many life events due to busy work schedules. Now it's time to spend some quality time with loved one.

Since long back we have not given enough time to our family and kids. Consider this as a payback time for family. Complete your family related  pending tasks. Play and enjoy some happy moments with your children. Take care of parents and serve the society to make someone's life better.

6) Mentality of abundance opportunities 


After loosing job people feels like they have lost all the hope in life. Do not  limit your life only by job. They try hard for new opportunity but mostly it takes time to get another job. They lose their patience and seek for instant results which hardly possible. There are so many things you can do besides job.

Have a mentality of abundance that there are a lot of opportunities in the universe. Loosing one job doesn't mean that you will not get another one. Abundance mentality will keep you motivated to search new opportunity with patience. If you don't see any progress in near future don't get frustrated.
 
7) Explore different dimensions of life

We have restricted our life only up to the job for earnings. There are lots of other income generating avenues. We really need to look for alternatives. Dependency on only one source will make you feel more insecure about income. You will not be able to move between jobs easily. 

Always have second source of income, do not totally depend on single source. In case of job loss you will feel too much insecure about future. Go for digital platforms for earnings. Thinking about alternate source and taking small step day by day towards it will give you more confidence to keep performing current job with courage.

8) Maintain physical & mental balance 


During this tough timing, physical and mental balance is crucial. So fix your daily schedule for physical exercise and meditation for the peace of mind. You will keep thinking about the loss and you are bound to get disturbed emotionally.

Developing these two dimensions of life will give you strength to fight against stress of loosing job. There is always a sound mind in sound body. Maintaining peace of mind is very crucial during such time of crisis or else your situation will be more dire.

Always have hope & be optimistic that life will bring to you whatever best fit for us. Maintain best daily schedule for physical & mental development during these hard times.

Explore more options in life otherwise you would have never taken this step due to fear of unknown future by leaving job.
