Why we shouldn't watch more television and advertising  ?

Television (TV) is a means to derive pleasure by diverting mind from thoughts or troubles of life. TV keep us engaged by feeding our mind with interesting or engaging stuffs. We are getting trapped by mind to keep watching for hours & hours.

If we feed same thoughts over and over again, then we get used to it or it becomes part of life. Unconsciously which creates mind pattern & changes behaviors. Debates on news channels are creating communal disputes or change the belief system about society.

Over watching TV create typical belief system or triggers thoughts process about objects in mind. Due to over indulgence we are getting too much worried or feared to the things which are projected on TV. 

Advertising is pleasing us by always making us feel  important. Persuading you that,  if you use their products that will make your personality or identity.

Advertisers deploy role models or stars so that you feel like them by using their products or service i.e. consumerism. Excessive watching TV is wasting our valuable time & causing eye irritations or mental stress.

What information we are feeding to our mind is important as it will decide your destiny in life. So TV play major role as we are much more indulged in watching crime base or hate base serials often. Choose your source of information wisely so that it doesn't hamper your life.

You have choice to choose or discipline yourself for the use of TV. By making some guidelines or rules you can optimize the influence on your life. Follow your timetable to watch the TV and never allow children to overindulge in watching or playing games. 

Most of us get carried away with scrolling the next episode or keep on watching unnecessary stuff. Don't waste your life by watching unproductive episodes. You will get stressed due to more exposure to the TV screen. 

Optimistic use of Television 

  1. Always set timetable for watching TV i.e. maximum 2-3 hours /day 
  2. Watch only those program which are adding values and knowledge to your life 
  3. Never ever keep watching TV half an hour before sleeping or after waking up in morning , because same thoughts will be carried away in sleep or throughout the day  
  4. Don't keep surfing channels frequently 
  5. Keep closing eyes frequently to avoid stress on eyes 
  6. Mute TV during breaks or advertising  
  7. Don't allow your children's to watch for late night
  8. Watch news only maximum for 1 hour /day 
  9. Don't get obsessed with watching daily soaps or web-series , which impact on our behaviors and mindset
  10. Don't get carried away by watching TV shows or serials
      
Final Thoughts

" Television has proved that people will look at anything rather than each other " 

Television is badly impacting on our lifestyle, excessive indulgence causing health issues or mental stress. Always set limits for watching hours.

Be wise while selecting which content you are feeding to your mind . Don't get carried away by watching unhealthy contents.

Set limits for watching and develop self -discipline to be abide by limits. Advertising making us to shop more unnecessarily things, so don't be victim of  marketing and consumerism.
