When one should look for job change



When one should think of changing job is very crucial thought , we have to have very  rational thinking before taking this decision. Everyone wants to make progress in life, wants to earn enough money and utilize all their potentials for earning.

There are some instances where people are not able to recognize the indications that, your employer no longer wish you to continue with them. If you fail to do so then you will land up with the trouble. You will suddenly get to know that you are fired or downsized.

You really need to dive deeper to know the reason why you want to change the job. Without thorough analysis one shouldn't look for changing the job. Some people have a tendency to keep on switching job without any solid reason only for the sake of earning, but later on they will realize that they have lost credibility due to frequent changes.

When one should look for job change 

When you are not considered in decision making

If you are comfortable with present job and willing to continue for longer duration of time then your intentions are pretty clear for you. But when your organization doesn't want your association anymore then they will start their moves smartly.

If your employer want you to move out then they will eliminate you from the decision making process. They will try to bypass your approval or your suggestions. They want you to realize intentionally that you are no more important person for our organization.

Most of us don't even realize that indication and your ignorance will later trouble you. Whenever there is such indications then you must recognize it. Change the job before they change you or fire you from existing organization.

When you are de-promoted or sidelined 

There will be such situations where you will be moved to another job responsibility or intentionally they will change your job location. When ever you are getting moved to the lower responsibility or trying to sideline you from important roles or responsibilities, then you must understand the indications wisely.

You are performing well but your boss doesn't want you to go ahead, then he will purposefully create the hostile situation where he will try to demotivate you. Whenever you are de-promoted or sidelined then you must take this symptoms seriously for changing the job. Your performance doesn't matter if they want you to throw out, they wants their ego to flatter by spoiling your career.

When you don't find any progress in career growth

There are some situations where you career growth stumbles. You try your best but surrounding influence don't allow you to make progress in career. Mostly the people you are surrounded will try to pull you down. They will not try on their own but they don't want others also to make the progress in life.

You your work environment doesn't boost your career growth then you should move on. There are some organizations due to fixed mindset of management they resist any good change they fell insecure by implementing the new ideas. One should not wait till your career get spoiled rather take action quickly to look for new job and organization.

When your boss always try to proof you wrong

One should always have good mentor rather than boss. Boss always try to suppress their juniors while a mentor always wants their juniors to make progress and take his position in future. Bossing culture is really spoiling the essence of organizations. Boss is always try to fulfill his personal egos. They fell insecure with their positions when someone is outperforming than him.

You can't make your life and career happy under the culture of bossing. If you feel that your boss is always trying to make you feel deprived or guilty then you must recognize that indications. If you feel like unnecessarily boss is trying to proof you wrong then you should better move out of that bad culture.

When you are getting too much stressed due to workload

Work life balance is very crucial part of our life. When you are getting stressed due to work load then entire balance will get disturbed. You can't enjoy the work if you are not balanced enough within yourself. Due to changed work pressure you will start feeling unrest or chaotic situations.

One should always try to manage the work load but some times it's very difficult to handle the work pressure. If you are unable to handle the work load better you should look for another job. If you force yourself without your willingness then you will mess up more. Due to family responsibilities most of us can't leave the job so we try to handle it even you are getting burdened.

When your body is signaling deteriorating health due to work pressure

When your work stress reaches the threshold of bearing you will start developing the physical health illness. Initially you will get mental symptoms of stress and anxiety but if you don't take necessary actions then it will further worsen to show physical illness.

When you are no more able to handle the work load then you should look for new job. If you don't pay attention towards the deteriorating health then it will eventually create the major trauma or heart attack. Sustained pressure for longer duration of time will lead to depression or suicidal tendencies.

Remember that there are plenty of opportunities out there. Don't stick with the scarcity mentality. You will definitely get better job opportunity than existing one. You can get another job but you can't replace you body part for money.

When you can't handle the people around you 

Major part of our job profile is to handle the people around you. Day in and day out you have to deal with the people. You can't run away from them as they are the one who are integral part of your work. If you get into the organization where mentality of people is fixed mindset then they will intentionally trouble you .

You must try to persuade them and get aligned  with the nature. If you can't handle the negative people around you then you must look for change. If you can't manage such people then you will lose your credibility and you will find everyday job troublesome.

When you are criticized for everything 

If you are committing mistake then you must accept the criticism but someone is trying intentionally to pull you down then you must rebel against them. Constructive criticism is always accepted but most of the people criticize you to make you feel humiliated. If you are surrounded by such people then you must first try to handle them wisely.

If you feel that every time they are trying to pull you down unnecessarily then you must take necessary action against them. If you don't get support form top management it means that they are the part of this conspiracy. 

Such spoiling work environment will not make any fruitful progress of organization. if there is no growth of organization then you are not going to make any progress. Don't waste your energy and effort to fight back against such negative influences rather utilize this energy for making better future in another organization.

When you can't change your mindset about your work 

Everyone has a belief system which we have adopted from our past experiences. When you enter into the new organization then you have to get aligned with the requirement of business. But most of the people find it difficult to change themselves according to the organizations needs.

If you carry your own misbelief then you will not fit to the new organization culture. If you don't change your basic belief system then there will be always frictions between you and others. If you can't change the mindset which you have developed then you must look for the best fit for your mindset .

It will be always good if you move on and look for your choice rather than spoiling the organizational growth. Unnecessarily you will feel uncomfortable and your performance will deteriorate. Don't spoil your career as well by sticking to fixed mindset.

When you don't like your work 

There are so many people out there who are cursing the life that they have to do job which they don't like to do. They will always perform less than their efficiency due to the mindset they have developed. Disliking the job doesn't solve the problem. You have to take the necessary action quickly. There is no logic of cursing for lifetime.

If you really don't like the job then you must look for the change. If you are not liking because you have to work hard or need self discipline then you are finding excuses to escape from responsibility of life. If you can't love what you do then you will never like any job you undertake in life.

Final Thoughts

Everyone is wise enough to understand their scenarios. whatever things I have outlined are just the highlights but you might be having some different scenarios so basic idea is same everywhere. When you really feel there are some indications then only you should look for change.

One should always be cognizant of  nature of their work. simply running away from the responsibility will not make you happy in nay job you do. Take a responsibility of life and identify you areas of improvement to progress in career.
